About Us

M/Y Gucci

I came upon this hidden gem of a 44' Zeelander. She sat idled in dry boat storage at a marina in Yarmouth, Maine. It felt to me like I was walking into an old barn and uncovering a classic car and I knew I had to have her!

She was called Milling Time when we first came across her, but felt that wasn't her name. She exuded a unique and very different look from a boat named after a machine that cuts wood.

A friend and I sat in a restaurant in Kennebunkport, Maine and after some spirited discussion, and a couple cocktails, I settled on Gucci. First, because she represents everything Gucci, style, elegance, her beauty. Second, because shopping and wearing Gucci is kind of cool.

Her first voyage left that small milling town in Maine and ventured south along the coast, into Boston where she stayed, then through the Cape Cod canal to play in Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

We expect that she will stay there through the summer months (and future New England seasons), then on to the Palm Beaches for the warm winter months of South Florida.

Daniel Lapierre

Growing up on the South Shore of Boston in a small neighborhood called Ocean Bluff, fishing and boating was a part of our community. My brother and I were always around boats growing up, with several small marinas and yacht clubs within walking distance to our childhood home. He eventually worked on a commercial lobster boat like it seemed everyone else did in our neighborhood and I continued to grow my love of sailing and fishing. I originally learned to sail on a small hobie cat in Pleasant Bay in Chatham, MA near our family business there. We also spent much of our summers living on Marthas Vineyard where we would fish and enjoy leisurely sailing and boating where I eventually worked aboard a 125' classic wooden schooner. Every kids dream.

Fifteen years ago my love of the ocean deepened when I began working in the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world on Vieques, Puerto Rico where I have called home for many years. Working aboard an electric motor, solar powered research pontoon vessel I shared the bay with many visitors and became heavily involved in collecting data, ocean conservation, research and education. Since that time I have continued my professional career in the marine industry working and living on sailboats and yachts earning my USCG master captains license.

I have sailed all over the Caribbean and the Atlantic for many years. From the coast of Belize and Honduras, down the east coast of the United States, The Bahamas, The Virgin Islands and all the way down to Grenada, the southernmost island in the Windward Islands. My love of the ocean, marine biology, diving, free-diving, spearfishing and deep sea fishing have kept me quite active in the past few years running my own charter business around the islands.

After hurricane Maria decimated my island home I took my brothers advice and joined him in Florida where I lived and worked on a private yacht in the Fort Lauderdale/West Palm Beach area before returning to Puerto Rico to aid in the recovery of the island of Vieques as well as to continue chartering. Recently I returned to New England and joined the Gucci team on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. I look forward to returning to South Florida as skipper of the Gucci.

Joe Gasparoni

Growing up right outside of Boston, some of my best boating memories were of my family spending our vacation time on Cape Cod and taking row boats around the small lakes in Dennis Port. I also enjoyed deep sea fishing trips we would take with family and friends. We would leave from Hyannis, catching Bluefish and Striped Bass.

I moved to the Palm Beaches 20 years ago and have never left. The beaches are amazing and so is the Intercoastal waters which is where my interest in boating grew.

I learned the value of good chartering through my involvement in a boat club for 5 years and spending time with some of the boating community in and around South Florida.

In June of 2021, I took the leap into the chartering business and bought my first motor yacht.

Having spent the majority of my business career in the insurance industry in various executive level positions, I've learned the value of excellent customer service. That having the good fortune to have a customer is a gift, which we never lose sight of.

My hope is to use the experience to ensure each customer gets what they deserve which is making a day out on the water, really special.

Our goal is a simple one, to provide the finest, upscale yachting experience in the Palm Beaches and Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard during season.

How do we accomplish this. The experience is one in which we provide you a luxury boat, for day charter, that can provide a great meal, great drinks, a memorable location on a perfect day. The experience comes with outstanding staff, including a crew comprised of a licensed captain and stew. We are really proud of our entire team, for their hard work and customer service.

About you, our customer: You are so very important to us. Do as little or as much as you want. We are here to listen and to meet your expectations.

Our motto: Life is Gucci!
